Multilinguality

In IMS Integrated Management System Software multilinguality is considered on two levels. First of all, the user interface is multilingual. IMS Software can be used in Finnish, Swedish, English, Russian, Italian, Estonian and Chinese. IMS Integrated Management System Software is designed so that a new language is easy to add.

Secondly, the content created by IMS Client in IMS Integrated Management System Software can be made multilingual. In this case the content is first created with one language and then translated into another language, and therefore the structure of information remains the same in every language.

Consider example organization, which has content in Finnish and English. First the process map is created in Finnish and the translation is made in English of it. The language of the interface is changed into English and English terms are edited in the process map (without making changes to the structure of the process). Finally the process map is approved (the content in both languages is approved). If this operation is conducted on every level of the process tree, bilingual content is created, that is possible to view in both languages.

Multi-language mode enables to change the language of the interface whilst showing the content on other language if language translation of particular content is not available. To emphasize, consider a case, where all content is created in English, but program is used in by Finnish or Estonian users. When user browsers the content, the content is displayed primarily with the language chosen for the session e.g. in Finnish or Estonian, but if the translation is missing, the content is shown in English.
